WBC Voices Support for "Wrap-up" Insurance Programs in 2016 Proposed Budget

High insurance rates disproportionally cripple small, emerging businesses as well as Minority, Women Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) who, due to this expense, are unable to enter the construction industry or are unable to compete with larger companies who receive more affordable premiums. WBC has voiced our support for Governor Andrew M. Cuomo's Budget Bill S.6408, Part B, Section 14, which will provide "wrap-up" insurance programs on New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) and Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) projects.
