Membership. Membership is key to our growth and success as New York’s leading advocacy organization on behalf of women business owners and professional women in the building industries. Your role would be to assist us in developing and implementing successful membership strategies that will encourage new members, both individual and corporate. It’s an excellent way to connect your relationship with your colleagues and well as new business prospects.

Events. 2013 and 2014 will focus on growing the Access Government and Small Business Services of intimate leadership seminars that allow our industry to recognize the important roles models amongst us. We welcome your participation in planning these special events and providing a forum for members and non-members alike to learn about the women who are changing the face of the construction industry.

Annual Conference. WBC produces an annual conference as part of its event schedule. As a member of WBC‘s Conference Committee, you will assist in the planning and development of this statewide event. This year’s theme is Women Build New York.

Annual Dinner. WBC celebrates its Champions Awards Dinner annually. You are invited to join us as a member of our Planning Committee. Your role will be to assist us in helping us plan the Gala, its awards program and other elements of the event.

Development. Fund raising, corporate sponsorships, government grants and contacts all contribute to both the activities and resources of WBC. The association is seeking to increase its development opportunities and will be seeking additional opportunities for training, education, public awareness and advocacy through special development funding opportunities.

Public Policy. The goal of this committee will be to identify issues that will open doors to new business opportunities for both small and large companies and connect the dots between our members and public agencies. This committee will be responsible for our annual Legislative Trip to Washington, an annual trip to Albany as well as other meetings with public officials. The goal of this committee will be to establish access with key decision makers as WBC continues to advocate for new strategies for MWBE and Small Business inclusion in government work.
