The New York City Department of Small Business Services (SBS)
The New York City Department of Small Business Services (SBS) invites you to attend an information seminar on doing business with the government. The City of New York purchases billions of dollars in construction services annually and we encourage your firm to learn more about prime and subcontracting opportunities in the City's construction sector.
This session is designed to introduce and answer your questions about:
- Registering for government procurement at the Vendor Enrollment Center
- Matching your firm to the appropriate City agency and finding notices for contracting opportunities
- Preparing bids
- Accessing resources for technical assistance, financing, insurance, etc.
- Learning about special events and vendor fairs
- New reform measures undertaken by the City to make it easier for construction firms to do business
The "Contracting with the Government" workshop will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 8:30am-10:30am at 395 Hudson Street, tenth floor. Please call to reserve a seat at 212-727-2224 x 117.
SBS wants to help your contracting business grow and we provide a range of services and resources to small, minority, and women-owned businesses. For more information, please visit our website at www.nyc.gov/smallbiz.
