Renee Sacks, Ph.D.

Renee Sacks, Ph.D. serves as the Executive Director of the Women Builders Council, one of the leading professional associations serving the needs of women at all levels in the construction and building industries.  From 2008 to 2010, she served as WBC’s administrator and then in 2012 was appointed to serve as the organization’s Executive Director, where she has been credited in building WBC’s board, membership and programmatic offerings.

Dr. Sacks founded her own integrated marketing communications firm in 1986 and today she serves as President and CEO.  A recognized and respected business consultant and communications specialist, she has developed numerous signature programs that focus on corporate identity, public relations, strategic marketing, sales, training, crisis communications and the primary goals of strengthening her clients’ market position and increasing their ability to communicate effectively.  Dr. Sacks produces special events, national conferences and publications as strategic business development tools for corporations, government agencies and professional associations. She is a published author and avid lecturer on a variety of communications, leadership and business development topics. She writes and produces several publications, including Diversity Agenda – a print and online resource that links small businesses with government agencies – and has written and developed over 60 magazines for McGraw Hill Construction. She is currently co-authoring a book series on leadership and strategic communications.

Dr. Sacks was an Assistant Professor at Hofstra University for three years before becoming the Director of the Communications, Film and Technology Department at NYU’s School of Professional Studies. At NYU, she administered a program of over 250 courses with over 100 faculty members.
